BURIAL AT SEA - ASH SCATTERING - MEMORIAL SERVICE TAMPA, FLORIDA Burial at sea as a tradition has dated back thousands of years. Presently, family and loved ones have increasingly been choosing ash scattering for their own reasons. Florida State law requires that ashes must be scattered no closer than 3 miles offshore. You can rent a pontoon boat from Windsong and travel safely to the 3 mile line. We will provide you with complete directions. A commemorative nautical certificate stating your loved one's name, date, and exact latitude and longitude of the ash scattering ceremony can be purchased for just $10. Windsong Boat Rentals guarantees you an affordable memorial service and burial at sea for your loved one. You have several boats to choose from depending on the size of your party. Our smallest boat holds 8 adults and our largest can take up to 15 people. The boat trip to the 3 mile lines takes about 45 minutes including the idle up our channel. Our rates include the boat for 4 hours, so there is plenty of time for you to conduct your own service. Most boats have CD players so you can play the music of your choice. If you are uncomfortable driving the boat yourself, you can hire a captain for only $20/hour plus gratuity.
