Burial at sea as a tradition has dated back thousands of years. Presently, family and loved ones have increasingly been choosing ash scattering for their own reasons. Florida State law requires that ashes must be scattered no closer than 3 miles offshore. You can rent a pontoon boat from Windsong and travel safely to the 3 mile line. We will provide you with complete directions. A commemorative nautical certificate stating your loved one's name, date, and exact latitude and longitude of the ash scattering ceremony can be purchased for just $15 (captained charters ONLY).

Windsong Boat Rentals guarantees you an affordable memorial service and burial at sea for your loved one. You have several boats to choose from depending on the size of your party. Our smallest boat holds 6-8 adults and our largest can take up to 12 people. Weight Restrictions Apply.

The boat trip to the 3 mile lines takes about 45 minutes including the idle up our channel. Our rates include the boat for 4 hours, so there is plenty of time for you to conduct your own service. Most boats have stereos with BlueTooth so you can play the music of your choice.

We offer two ash scattering packages with a captain. 6 people or less package and 7-12 people .
IF YOU HIRE A CAPTAIN YOU ARE ABSOLVED OF YOUR LIABILITY ON DRIVER DAMAGE TO THE BOAT! (This excludes any damage your party might cause to the interior of the boat, such rips in the upholstery, cigarette burns or willful destruction of property). No need to worry about crashing into other boats or damaging the propeller. Your captain is responsible for this. Gratuity to captain appreciated

1-6 person inclusive package: $450 includes boat, captain, taxes and fuel

7-12 person package: $350 for boat plus tax and fuel plus $120 cash paid to captain
